Asset Management
Total asset visibility is the ability to provide timely and accurate information
on the location, movement, status, and identity of units, personnel, equipment,
and supplies, and it encompasses as well the capability to act on that information
to improve overall performance in logistics practices.

Our work in asset management includes the following:
IUID Markings for Legacy Parts: The marking of legacy parts presents an enormous
challenge for the Department of Defense because of the sheer numbers of items to
be marked and also because of the time and cost involved in creating Engineering
Change Orders (ECOs) for each item. Our proposed solution for the Department of
Defense would leverage technologies from two Commercial Technologies for Maintenance
Activities (CTMA) projects formed and managed by NCMS to automate engineering change
order (ECO) creation for legacy parts.
