Imaginestics receives Small Business Administration
8(a) Certification
West Lafayette, Indiana, USA – Imaginestics, LLC announced their receipt
of the 8(a) certification from the Small Business Administration (SBA). Participation
in the Business Development program will provide Imaginestics with greater resources
to expand their Government Services Division.
Approval to enter the SBA 8(a) business development program is granted only after
completing a rigorous review process to ensure applicants meet the standards for
entering this coveted program. With this certification, Imaginestics has new options
and advantages to bring their innovative supply chain solutions to the federal government.
The SBA 8(a) Business Development program will allow Imaginestics to pursue sole
source federal and state government contracts and compete for set aside contracts
open only to those with these small business certifications. In 2010, the Department
of Defense awarded over $20B to 8(a) certified companies.
Nainesh Rathod, Chief Executive Officer of Imaginestics, states, “We are excited
about this opportunity to grow our business. Imaginestics’ management team has worked
tirelessly to develop relationships within the United States Department of Defense,
and the 8(a) Business Development program is the stepping stone we need to establish
long-term contracts.”
Mr. Rathod continues, “The 8(a) certification will allow us to position Imaginestics
as a contractor of choice among Federal and State agencies for services associated
with supply chain and related services. In the commercial market, several companies
have already found value in Imaginestics’ VizSeek and VizSpace solutions, and we
now have an opportunity and clear advantage to expand those commercial successes
in the Federal and State government sectors.”
Imaginestics is one of only 46 companies in Indiana with the 8(a) certification.
According to Senator Dick Lugar, “Small businesses like Imaginestics are vital as
we continue to strengthen Indiana’s economy. The 8(a) certification from the Small
Business Administration to Imaginestics will provide greater resources to better
serve their community. I am pleased to see more Indiana businesses accepted in the
program and know this certification will be extremely beneficial to all of Indiana.”
The 8(a) Business Development program assists small, disadvantaged businesses in
gaining access to government contracting. The program consists of a 4-year developmental
stage, and a 5-year transition stage. Companies are subject to annual reviews and
systematic evaluation from the SBA district office throughout the program.
